What Campers experience at Camp Howard:

• Campers ages 6 to 14 years are grouped by age groups into "units" (6-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds, 13-14 year olds) and can request up to two cabin buddies of the same gender/age group. Buddies must also request your child.
• Day time activities include archery, arts and crafts, swimming, and more. Evening activities are a camp favorite and include camp-wide campfire fires and capture the flag. Thursday night Cougar Campfire is a well-loved camp tradition where the highly coveted Cougar Awards are handed out.
• Delicious homestyle meals are served in Mary's Lodge dining hall.
• Daily opportunities to visit our camp store and purchase a treat or two!
• Campers meet new friends and experience new activities while enjoying the natural beauty of Camp Howard.
• On-site Health Center with camp medical personnel to facilitate medication dispersal and health/first aid needs.
• Our trained camp staff is enthusiastic about working with youth! They are committed to the mission of Camp Howard and return summer after summer.

ACA standards focus on health, safety, and risk management practices.  The ACA is a community of camp professionals who have joined together to share their knowledge and experience to ensure the quality of camp programs. Assurance that Camp Howard complies with up to 300 health, safety, and program quality standards. The ACA conducts a regular, independent health and safety audit of Camp Howard.
