2026-2027 BASKETBALL SEASON INFORMATION

REGISTRATION FEE - $320.00 per participant

*Deadline to Register: November 1

LATE REGISTRATION FEE - $350.00 per participant (Starting November 2)

VOLUNTEER OPT OUT FEE - $100 per participant
*CYO Sports are not possible without volunteers. Parents who are not coaching are needed to help with scoreclock, scorebook or gate admissions during tournaments. If you are not able to volunteer at least one time for one of these roles, you have the option to pay the volunteer opt-out fee.


UNIFORMS - $55 uniform fee The new uniforms being ordered are the same style as last year. Uniforms from last season can be worn. Players can wear their old jersey but MUST include the correct number when registering. If the wrong number is listed and a duplicate number gets ordered, you will be responsible for purchasing a new jersey with a different number.

PRACTICE TIMES - Practice times will be determined based on coaches availability. Practice times will not be known until middle/late November. There will be 2 practices per week.

Winter Season: November to mid-March

Volunteer Coaches are Needed and Appreciated! CYO AD and Valley Catholic CYO Board assign coaches based on knowledge of the game, prior coaching experience, and good standing with the CYO and Valley Catholic community. Past coaches for Valley Catholic CYO that fall under the rule of good standing with the CYO and Valley Catholic Community will be considered first.

Important Notes
Minimum of 8 players are required for each team. Two exception players are allowed per team. Exception players are non-Valley Catholic student who live within our boundaries. If there are 16 players registered in a grade, there will be two teams formed. If there are enough players for two teams, the following format will apply:
3rd and 4th grade will be balanced teams.
5th – 8th grade will be split according to skill level.
There will be a skills assessment with independent evaluators. Players MUST be present for these assessments to be considered for a team. Assessment Dates: TBD Attendance at basketball assessments is required to guarantee a spot on the team.
