2026-2027 BASKETBALL SEASON INFORMATION
Calling all 3rd-8th Grade Basketballers! Join your class team to learn game skills, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, positive environment.There will be multiple practices each week, 8 season games, and 2 tournaments. Let's go, Bulldogs!
Registration Fee - $390.00* per participant until November 16, no refunds after November 23. Scholarships are available.*Registration fee covers CYO fees, tournament entries, coach background checks and certifications, equipment purchases, and administration fees. Scholarships are available. Late Registration Fee - $430.00 per participant after November 16.
Volunteer Opt-Out Fee - $300 per participant CYO sports cannot happen without volunteer support. If you cannot give a minimum of 3 hours per family to the STM CYO sports program, then you must choose the volunteer opt out fee. Volunteer opportunities include the following positions: scoreboard operator, scorebook keeper, tournament gate monitor, and gym site monitor.
Uniform Fee - Athletes that are using jerseys from prior years will need to submit their jersey number to stmcyo@stmpdx.org by 11/20 so their number can be reserved for use during the 26/27 Season. Uniform purchasing directions will be shared out by coaches.
Practice Schedule - TBD
Practice Location - St. Thomas More or another local gym.
First practice - First practices will be in November, date TBD.
Game Schedule: - Season: Dec - March, 8 regular season games (on Saturdays)NOTE: Game Schedules will not be available until December. Also, teams may compete in 2 tournaments during the season (Jamboree Tournament in December, City Championship Tournament in March).

Evaluations: For teams that have a large number of registrations, STM will conduct an evaluation session and choose to divide the group into 2 teams. All players need to attend the evaluations. Failure to attend will result in the athlete playing on the lower bracket team (for applicable grades). The only exception is an approved illness or injury that is approved by the AD. In this case, prior year evaluation and player’s skill level will be used for placement. Evaluations are conducted by independent evaluators in partnership with coaches. Parents are not able to stay in the gym during evaluations. The AD will be present during evaluations The teams will be determined by the outside evaluator. Based on the outcome of evaluations, the AD & Coaches will communicate the teams to all registered players.
