CYO COACHES

ONLINE COACHES REGISTRATION

contact your local Athletic Director for the
online link to begin registration.

What are the requirements to be a CYO Coach for any sport?
1. Complete the Coaches Agreement // Head or Assistant
Must be done for each sport you are coaching by obtaining the link from
your athletic director.
2. Submit your background check online (Must be done once per school year through the CYO Office. Archdiocese background checks will not work.
3 . Get certified in the ASEP course. (Available online or at a location - check the calendar to the left for dates/times).
4. Get certified in the Called to Protect program. (Available through Catholic schools/parishes or the CYO office) and turn in a certificate.
5. Must be certified in Concussion Management Training according to the law per the state in which you coach. Resources below for both Oregon and Washington.
Oregon:
Choose just ONE concussion program to complete each year. For both video programs you must register first and then log-in. NFHS will ask you to click the purchase button, but you will not have to pay for the test.

6.Communicate with your athletic director and let them know you have completed all the requirements.
7. After registration you will receive an official coaches badge that must be worn during practices and games and may not be used by anyone other than the person it was issued to.

*Football and Cheerleading have additional requirements.
