CYO Survival Camps - 2010
Session 1 Survival Camp - Mini Camp July 9-July 11
Particpants will learn about basic survival skills. They will learn the critical "rules" of survival and why they are so important. They will cover the major skills of survival while having fun learning about where, when and how to build a shelter, fire, procure water and food, navigation, and signaling.
Session 7 Survival Camp - Full week camp, August 15-August 20
Particpants will learn about basic survival skills. They will learn the critical "rules" of survival and why they are so important. They will cover the major skills of survival while having fun learning about, and experiencing, where, when and how to build a shelter, fire, procure water and food, navigation, and signaling. Activities will include day trips away from camp to test their survival knowledge in a variety of this areas's most beautiful environments. Areas such as the Gifford Pinchot/Indian Heaven Wilderness Area and selected trails within the Gorge. Tentative course outline
